I have very dry skin. Something that is a real annoyance at times. In the winter months, my body suffers brutally from the dry air and harsh winds. Some days, my skin hurts so badly and as a result, I have had to invest in some really expensive skin care products to alleviate the problem.

Today, I am focused on the face. A few days ago, I was casually looking at the Clinique site and came upon this new product. Any Clinique fan is aware of the famous yellow lotion. I have used said lotion and have tried, really, to like it. The liquid is moisturizing, has no scent and applies like a dream. Yet, it was just not moisturizing enough for this dry girls skin. So, when I saw this moisturizer in cream form, I actually gasped aloud, clicked on the link and started reading about the product.

This cream promises the following. Link
"Moisture-rich cream ups the hydration intensity of our yellow genius. Dermatologist-developed formula combines all-day protection with skin-strengthening ingredients to soothe even the driest skins. Makes skin more resilient. Use it daily to keep skin younger, longer."

In my usual, unhealthy-makeup-skincare-addiction-fashion, I immediately went to my Clinique counter at The Bay, inquired about it (I was going to buy it either way) and skipped home with my new lovely purchase. I will give this new cream a week trial and report back on my results.

As a side-note, I am excited about this new product and really hope this works. As the cooler and colder months are quickly moving in, I would love this cream to do wonders and provide the type of moisture my super dry skin craves. Review TBA!

Hi, my name is Rhona and I am a makeup-aholic. I love most cosmetics and go crazy for it. Going makeup shopping is so fun and relaxing. I can literally spend hours at the Bay going from counter to counter sampling and buying. It is so bad that any store I venture in, I always make a beeline straight to the cosmetics department (as long as they have one that is). My obsession is pretty recent however. Merely a year ago, I had no interest in makeup and never ever thought about it.

If you had asked me what my passion was two years ago, I would have easily said reading and travel. I was never into makeup. Actually I hated it with a passion. You see, when I first ventured into the wonderful world of beauty, it was not fun at all. Foundations that I tried felt very heavy and clogged my pores. Due to skin tone, my few choices for foundations at the time were Fashion Fare and M.A.C.. I only wore foundation when I had to but dreaded every second of the experience. Making up my face was just not a fun experience.

It was not until I was casually watching one of my favorite Youtubers, The Luxe Babe, did my spark ignite. You see, the LB was talking about a new foundation she just bought from Chanel. Earlier that year, I had bought my first Chanel nail polish and I treasured that bottle. The color is gorgeous and it applies like a dream. But, what surprised me was that this brand had foundation for darker skin toned people. I almost didn't believe it.

When I went to my Chanel counter I was still not sure so I casually told the lady, Angela, at the counter that Chanel.... "does not have any foundation for my skin tone." Angela was quick to pull out Chanel's Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear Flawless fluid makeup in 154 Ambre. I have to admit that I was so excited about this discovery that I almost cried (seems extreme but try having basically no options and you will understand). After she applied the foundation to my skin, I immediately fell in love. Smooth, flawless and lightweight. Perfection.

That was all I needed it seemed to ignite my makeup desires. I have been non-stop since. My top picks are Chanel, Maybeline, Nars, Revlon, Clinique and the brands are growing almost daily. Makeup has now become an important part of my life. I don't wear it every day but I love to look at my pretty things and play around often. Come join me on this makeup adventure. This blog will be updated once a week with things such as product reviews, new releases, updates in the makeup world, tutorials, nail of the day and the list goes on and on. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter for up the minute updates on makeup and my life. Look forward to seeing you soon.

Hi there. This is a very short but I hope sweet intro to my blog, Be Pretty. My main focus here is to explore the wonderful and really fun world of makeup. My objective is for all to have fun as I review products, do makeup picture tutorials and gush about the latest (and sometimes older) makeup products. I hope you like and revisit often.

Until my first post, happy makeup buying!
